Regional MP rips into ‘lazy’ state government

A regional member of the Victorian parliament says the government must resist reinstating the ring of steel dividing Greater Melbourne and country areas.

Liberal MP Richard Riordan, the member for Polwarth, said it wasn’t needed.

“This government is being lazy,” he said.

“We’ve had more goes at this than any other state … you’d think we’d have a plan.”
