Relieved bronze medal-winner Scotty James speaks with 3AW
Warrandyte snowboarder Scotty James has told 3AW of his elation at winning bronze in a blockbuster Halfpipe at Pyeongchang.
James, 23, took an early lead but finished third behind his biggest rivals, America’s Shaun White and Japan’s Ayumu Hirona.
James becomes the second Australian to win a medal in South Korea after Matt Graham took silver in the men’s moguls.
He told Sportsday it was reward for two strong years.
Scotty James: “Before each run I have a look around and appreciate where I am, it’s always pretty crazy. Then I turn on AC/DC just before I drop in”
