The Melbourne Metro Rail Authority is dismissing reports the new tunnel will shut down life-saving machinery.

CEO Evan Tattersall told Ross and John the machinery will be impacted, and they’re already preparing for it.

“We’ll manage this so the life-saving machines don’t have to shut down,” Mr Tattersall said.

“There are a lot of things we can do to manage the impact.”
