‘Reptile party’ at nightclub slammed by Animal Justice Party

The Animal Justice Party has slammed a South Yarra nightclub for what it says is animal cruelty.

It comes after a weekend event at Two Wrongs where reptiles were being passed around and posed with.

Andy Meddick told 3AW the animals “didn’t belong” in that environment and a baby crocodile or snake could have easily bitten somebody due to distress from loud music and flashing lights inside the club.

Meddick said the nightclub may have contrived the wildlife act and we may see a regulatory change that might prohibit any more potential events.
