Residential swimming pool overrun by ducks

A Ferntree Gully resident says a group of ducks has moved into her pool…and they are wreaking absolute havoc.

Kelly Mills told Nick McCallum that following the draining of a local lake, about thirty-five ducks have sought refuge at her home.

Far from being cute and cuddly, Ms Mills said twice-daily visitors bathe in the pool and laze on her shed, which is problematic as they drain the water of chemicals and their waste is toxic to children, making the pool impossible to swim in.

‘They just fly in…it’s cost us an absolute fortune,’ Ms Mills said.
