The National Retail Association admits it’s still in the dark as to how businesses will be required to operate under the latest set of COVID-19 restrictions.

Under Victoria’s roadmap out of lockdown, many businesses will only be able to host and serve those who’ve been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Dominique Lamb, Chief Executive of the National Retail Association, said a number of questions needed answering.

“Is it the retailer being forced to ask (for proof of vaccination)? Will they get fined if they don’t ask? How easy is that going to be? At the moment, retailers are policing everything from masks, to QR codes, to social distancing – it’s becoming increasingly difficult,” she said.
