‘Rethink things’: Farmer calls for halt of VNI West Transmission Project

The President of the Victorian Farmer’s Federation urged the Victorian Government put a halt to the VNI West Transmission Project.
The Victoria to NSW Interconnector West is a proposed new 500kV double circuit transmission line connecting the high voltage electricity grids in New South Wales and Victoria. The project will force farmers to give up some of their land to home the powerlines.
“Making sure the community is not a causality to this … Is not the approach the government have taken,” Brett Hosking said on 3AW.
