After months of promotion, the first part of the Olivia Newton-John miniseries aired on Channel 7 last night – and the reviews are mixed.

Entertainment reporter Pete Ford told Ross and John this series signals the end of the the recent spate of small screen biopics on Australian TV.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to see beyond Delta with a wig on and believe it’s Olivia,” Pete said.

“I thought there was some bits that looked like they were done on the cheap.

“It’s difficult to do these biopics, I think probably they’ve reached the end of their run, we’ve had a lot of them.”

Pete also said Olivia is auctioning off her famous leather jacket and pants from Grease to raise funds for her ongoing work towards cancer research.
