Revolutionary drone food delivery service launches in Melbourne

An environmentally-friendly drone food delivery service has launched, servicing selected suburbs in Melbourne.

A partnership between drone service Wing and DoorDash will see customers in the city’s eastern suburbs able to order food to be delivered via the air from Thursday.

Drone lawyer Tom Pils told Ross and Russ while the service was the first of its kind in Melbourne, it has existed in other parts of the country for several years.

“The are two other delivery services (with drones) that have been going for five years,” he told 3AW Breakfast.
