A Richmond resident has expressed her anger at the local council for issuing a ‘petty’ warning notice about her bin being left out too long, while drug users are dealing and shooting up in the streets.

Millie sent Neil Mitchell a photo of the warning notice she received for leaving her bin out longer than 24 hours after collection.

“Yesterday we got an infringement notice warning on our bin out on the nature strip for a couple of hours too long,” she said.

“We’re getting in trouble for these petty little things yet, we can walk to the supermarket, to the cafes and people can be shooting up in the street or doing drug deals on the street and they don’t get in trouble.”
