Richo re-lives his favourite MCG moment

While Matthew Richardson holds the record for most goals kicked on the MCG in his career, the moment he fell in love with the great stadium came when he was a young boy.

‘I remember coming over from Tassie, staying at Grandmas,’ Richardson said on Sports Today.

‘We got the train in, it was Richmond Fitzroy, walked into the ground with all the cheer squad and the duffle coats on, I’d never seen anything like it.’

Clearly a lasting memory for the Tigers great was a specky by Geoff Raines.

‘I think I fell in love with the MCG that day,’ Richardson said.
