Ricky Ponting reportedly denied membership at Royal Melbourne Golf Club

Australian cricket great Ricky Ponting is reportedly fuming after being denied membership at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club.

Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure revealed on Sports Today that Ponting, a scratch golfer, had been in the process of becoming a full-time member when eight people filed objections.

One of those claimed Ponting was a man of ‘ill integrity’ because he did not remember the man’s name while at the driving range.

‘Needless to say, Ricky is fuming about being punted,’ Scoop said on 3AW.
