Ridiculous amount of signs seen on new bike lane in Patterson Lakes

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate has been sent images of a new bike lane in Patterson Lakes which is covered in signs every 25 metres.

Rick, who send through the photos of the signs joined 3AW Drive, and said it’s a “quite obvious mistake by the Kingston Council”.

“I was just absolutely gob smacked with what happened,” Rick said on 3AW Drive.

Kingston Council are now taking the signs down, releasing the following statement:

Clearly something has gone wrong here, and too many signs have been installed.

This project is still under construction and not yet open to the public.

Council was due to inspect the site very soon, but thanks to your (Jacqui’s) followers we will be taking action ASAP to get this fixed.

The extra signs will be used elsewhere to ensure they are not wasted.
