RMIT University’s Centre for Urban Research is calling for the forced sale of properties that are left vacant for more than nine months of the year to fight the housing shortage.

“The reality is we have to build more homes and we have to build them in the inner city — we have to build them where people want to live,” he told Tom Elliott.
