Robert Doyle wants CCTV installed in Melbourne’s iconic Hosier Lane.

The Lord Mayor said it would be a valuable tool for police and would also deter crime.

The CBD lane has been in the spotlight of late due to escalating drug use and anti-social behaviour.

Cr Doyle told Neil Mitchell he’d met with the group Hosier Inc. and is convinced cameras are needed to stamp out some of the bad behaviour.
