Robert Prevost becomes first American pope and will be known as Pope Leo XIV

Robert Prevost has been elected the 267th pope of the Roman Catholic Church and will be known as Pope Leo XIV.
He becomes the first pope from the United States and defying the conventional wisdom before the conclave that any American would be a long shot to become pontiff.
Channel Nine Europe Correspondent Hannah Sinclair joined 3AW Breakfast and said it been a “crazy few hours” in Saint Peter’s Square.
