Rock legend Tom Petty dead, aged 66

Rock legend Tom Petty has died.

Petty is known for his work with long-time backing band the Heartbreakers, and with rock supergroup the Traveling Wilburys.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.

Petty is one of the world’s highest-selling musicians, selling almost 100 million records.

He suffered a heart attack.
