Ross and John discuss the idea of a new Melbourne slogan

Keep Austin what?

As Ross discovered last night during the golf, the slogan for the US city of Austin Texas is a bit different – ‘Keep Austin Weird’.

But what is the Melbourne equivalent? Ross and John put it to the listeners.

Caller Matthew, clearly sitting in this morning’s peak, says ‘Keep Melbourne Crawling’, prompting Ross to suggest ‘Keep Melbourne Moving’ – as equally as true. 

Louis says ‘Keep Melbourne Caffeinated’ ? very fitting for a city in which every second person in the CBD is shaking with a coffee cup in hand.

‘Keep Melbourne Frosty’ like the troops, but why not just have a cold one and ‘Keep Melbourne Bitter’?

Caller Michael had a kick at the Demons – ‘Keep Melbourne out-of-the-finals’.

Sydney may say something along the lines of ‘Keep Melbourne up-itself’.

‘Keep Melbourne Fresh’ – Melbourne, the fresh food people? Woolies may have something to say about this one.

For now let’s do as caller Brendan says and – ‘Keep Melbourne Real, Punks!’.
