Ross Greenwood on exploitation of migrant workers

Ross Greenwood speaks to Professor Alan Fels who is leading a new Migrant Workers Taskforce aimed at stopping the exploitation and underpayment of migrant workers.

Professor Fels says there needs to be protection for Australian jobs and businesses. 

‘It’s unfair competition,’ he told Ross Greenwood.

‘Above all it’s exploitation of human beings that just shouldn’t be done in any country.’

Professor Fels says it is a widespread issue, which can involve cleaning and fast food businesses.
