Ross Greenwood on Superannuation

Ross Greenwood speaks to Jim Minto the CEO of Association of Superannuation Funds Australia about people needing to take a strong interest in superannuation.

Minto says he is delighted the government will state what the objective of superannuation is.

Currently the age pension $21,000 a year, which is clearly low.

‘I’m not even going to argue it’s adequate. It’s very basic,’ Minto said.

‘If we look at 20 years, Australia will not be able to afford to increase the age pension.’

Minto is firmly of the view that Australians should be able to retire comfortably.
