Ross Greenwood with Beach Boys founding member Mike Love

Original Beach Boys member Mike Love, along with bandmate Bruce Johnson, is about to embark on an Australian tour with The Temptations.

It’s been 55 years since the band broke into the music world with Surfin’ Safari in 1962, and they’re still going strong.

‘The songs stand the test of time, thankfully’, Love told Ross Greenwood.

When pressed by Ross on the prospect of retirement, Love pointed to the example of fellow musician Tony Bennett, still performing well into his nineties.

‘We just love to do it’.
