There was almost $19 billion wiped off today’s stockmarket in Australia, which Phillips believes was impacted by the US election and Donald Trump.

‘Still unlikely, still well and truly the outside horse in a two horse race,’ he said.

‘The market is suddenly realising that the thing that we’ve written off for the last month or two all of a sudden might be on the agenda.’
