Ross Greenwood speaks to Simon Cox from The Economist about a possible trade war between the U.S and China following the election of Donald Trump.

Trump says he believes China is cutting USA’s lunch. Australia has a strong relationship with both countries.

Cox says Trump does have the power to open a trade war with the USA and China.

‘If he wanted to follow through with it, he has the power to do so,’ he told Ross Greenwood.

‘If he wants to be reckless, if he wants to be a man of action… He could do it.’
