Rowdy protesters storm Yarra council meeting over Australia Day
Right-wing protesters stormed a Yarra City Council meeting last night over the recent decision to scrap Australia Day.
Councillor Stephen Jolly became aware of the protest late yesterday, tweeting that the protesters must live “pretty sad” lives.
Rumours the Master Race might be turning up to Yarra Council tonight because they hate indigenous people.

Several protesters arrived when meeting started, making their feelings known by yelling “Shame” and waving flags and posters.

Neil Erikson, a United Patriots Front member who had been in court earlier that day over a 2015 anti-mosque demonstration in Bendigo, was among the protesters.
The incident came moments after a condolence motion for the late Labor MP Fiona Richardson.
