RUMOUR CONFIRMED: 1947 premiership flag returned to Carlton

A piece of history has returned to Carlton.

The club’s 1947 premiership flag, which has been missing for more than 25 years, was returned to Princes Park on Thursday by a man known only as ‘Macca’.

It had been found in a shed at Eddington, in country Victoria.

‘It’s unbelievable, isn’t it!? But it happened,’ Blues historian Tony De Bolfo told Ross and John.
