RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A breastfeeding mother was asked to leave an apparently ‘family friendly’ venue in the CBD over the weekend.

3AW Breakfast was told the problem was due to ‘liquor licensing’ issues.

Marion Falla told Ross and John she was at the bowling venue with her friends when her three-month-old needed feeding.

She was quickly approached by members of staff.

‘They told us because they had a nightclub liquor licence and at that time it wasn’t possible for minors to remain in the premises, regardless of whether they were trying to buy alcohol or not,’ she explained.
