Rumour confirmed: football explodes in stadium, fans scared witless

RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Fans at Etihad Stadium were given an almighty fright on Sunday when a ball exploded in one of the stands.

The Rumour File heard that a father had bought a football for his daughter at a merchandise tent, only for it to go ker-BANG before they got back to their seats.

A nearby spectator confirmed the rumour, telling Ross and John it sounded like a bomb going off.

‘Two other little boys so scared they were crying,’ she said.
