RUMOUR CONFIRMED: McDonald’s worker punched in face during armed robbery at Laverton

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A McDonald’s worker has been punched in the face during an armed robbery at Laverton.

Police said three males wearing masks smashed their way into the 24-hour McDonald’s in Lunn Court, Laverton, shortly before 4am on Wednesday.

A staff member was punched in the face, the thieves then stole the workers’ phones and wallets, as well as an entire cash register and second till before fleeing.

The injured staff member did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders remain on the run.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
