RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A woman has been left lying in agony on Chapel Street for up to two hours on Wednesday night because no paramedics were available to treat her.

Police were eventually forced to take the 28-year-old woman, who’d suffered a dislocated jaw and broken collarbone, to hospital after the e-scooter she was riding got caught in tram tracks at the intersection of Toorak Road.

“Where’s The Help” told The Rumour File the officers watched a YouTube video to work out how to put a sling on the woman’s shoulder before taking her to hospital.

In a statement, Ambulance Victoria says the call came during a period of high demand for emergency ambulances for patients with life-threatening conditions.

Based on information provided, the patient’s condition was not life-threatening.

Shane told 3AW Drive he came across the scene, late on Wednesday night.
