Rumour confirmed: PayTo service shifting control from large billers to individuals

A rumour that the rollout of the PayTo service by large companies had been slow because it shifted control from these billers to individuals was confirmed on Friday.

NPP executive sponsor Katrina Stuart told 3AW Breakfast hosts Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft the payment service provides more control and visibility over payments coming out of a personal bank account.

“You can see those payments and you can pause or cancel them,” she said.
