Rumour confirmed: Police investigating car shot up at service station

A shot has been fired at a parked car in Melbourne’s outer south-east.

Police say someone opened fire at the vehicle at a service station in Ferntree Gully some time between 11pm yesterday and 2.40am this morning.

A caller to 3AW Breakfast said the vehicle remains outside the Napolean Road convenience store.

Police later confirmed they are investigating.
