Police vehicle collides with parked car

RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A police car has hit a parked car on Athol Street in Moonee Ponds.

The police car also collided with a fence in the incident, which occurred about 2.45am on Sunday.

The parked car was unoccupied and sustained minor damage.

No one was injured in the incident.

Although The Rumour File was told the incident occurred because the police car’s handbrake wasn’t applied properly, an investigation into the exact cause of the crash is ongoing.
