RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A postie who came to the aid of a motorcyclist after he’d crashed in Lilydale has been left dumbfounded when the rider allegedly took off with his postie bike.

The postie was among the first on the scene after the rider crashed a motorbike in Anderson Street Lilydale at 10.20am yesterday.

As revealed on the Rumour File, when the postie went to help, the rider promptly stole his bike.

Police later arrested a 43-year-old Lilydale man, who has since been charged with two counts of theft and various traffic-related offences, including unlicensed driving.

He is due to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court in September.

The mail was delivered later that afternoon.
