RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Prison worker stood down after tampering with inmate’s milk
RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A prison officer at Port Phillip Prison has been stood down after allegedly tampering with a prisoner’s milk.
Ross and John were told at least one prisoner was taken to hospital over the incident about a month ago.
3AW Mornings confirmed the news a short time later.
G4S, the prison’s contractor, denied suggestions the prisoner required hospital treatment after disinfectant was allegedly put in the milk.
A female staff member no longer works for the company.
Corrections Victoria says it will leave the matter in the hands of G4S.
