Students at a primary school in Melbourne’s east were kept inside yesterday due to “hayfever and asthma concerns”.

“The school kept all its students in at lunch time, as some students who suffered from hayfever, experienced hayfever symptoms,” Ross and John were told.

“The pollen count will be reviewed again today and appropriate action taken.”

Templestowe Park Primary School later confirmed the rumour to 3AW Breakfast.

“Students at Templestowe Park Primary School were kept indoors yesterday due to hayfever and asthma concerns.”

“The Department has an asthma policy which includes advice about managing and preventing thunderstorm asthma.” – A Department spokesperson said.
