Rumour confirmed: Undertaker’s van carrying bodies collides with police car

ANOTHER RUMOUR FILE CONFIRMED

An undertaker’s van carrying four deceased people has collided with a police van in Melbourne’s east.

The Rumour File was told a police divisional van was involved in a minor accident with an undertaker’s transport van, but “There were no injuries or complaints reported from the four deceased on board”.

Victoria Police have since confirmed they are investigating the collision which occurred near the Burwood Cemetery last Friday.

The police van was attempting a U-Turn at the intersection of Warrigal and Highbury Roads about 12.15pm, when it collided with the undertaker’s van.

In a statement Victoria Police said, “Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and no one was injured during the collision.”
