RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A vision-impaired man has escaped unhurt after falling onto train tracks after misjudging where a door was.

Nam told Ross and John he felt for the door and felt clear air, assuming it was an open door.

But it was the back of the train.

‘I was under a bit of pressure and thought the train was going leave,’ he said.

He fell onto the tracks, with his guide dog was left on the Merlynston platform.

The train then took off.

Nam was quickly helped by others on the platform.

Metro is aware of the incident and is investigating.
