RUMOUR DENIED! Haylea Cooney has laughed off speculation she’ll be nominating for the AFL Women’s draft.

The wife of Brownlow medallist Adam, who plays with Caroline Springs, told Ross and John she was embarrassed by the suggestion.

‘I don’t know where this vicious rumour circulated – I think it may be my husband,’ she told 3AW Breakfast.

‘He’s currently in bed but he’s going to get a serve in a minute!

‘I’m 35 years old! Absolutely no chance.’

Haylea admits she would have considered playing, had the women’s league existed a decade ago.
