Two 11-year-old boys have been ruled out of playing finals for their rugby union team after being told they’re too young – despite their substantial respective heights and weights.

The Rumour File heard the boys have been playing for an under-14s rugby union team all season, but after making the finals, have been told they are ineligible to play.

Coach of the Under 14s Endeavour Hills rugby union team Carl Jones told Ross and John the kids are simply too big to be playing in their own age group.

“One of them is just under 6 foot and weighs about 75kg and the other is about 5’5 and weighs about 80kgs,” he said.

“One I’ve coached for the past five years, if they were playing in the under 11s, they’d be knocking kids out.

“We don’t have an under 12s or 13s.

“To be told on the Wednesday which is three days before the semis that they were ineligible to play, was disappointing to see they look on their faces.

“They were told they were too young.”
