RUMOUR FILE: Cars stolen on Christmas Day from Toyota factory at Altona North
RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Details have emerged of an elaborate Christmas theft of more than a dozen cars from the Toyota factory in Melbourne.
14 cars were allegedly stolen in two separate incidents at the Toyota factory at Altona North.
Thieves initially broke into the Greive Parade factory in the early hours of Christmas day and again on December 27.
As revealed on 3AW’s Rumour File, nine of the vehicles have since been recovered with minor damage.
Police have charged five people over the thefts.
Two men, a 24 year-old from Port Melbourne and a 31-year-old from Mernda, have been remanded to next appear in court next week
A 24-year-old Port Melbourne woman will next appear in court on Thursday.
While a 29-year-old Elsternwick man and a 26-year-old woman from Melton have been bailed pending summons.
