RUMOUR FILE: Channel 9’s cricket commentary team is set for a ‘major’ shake-up.

Ross said on 3AW Breakfast he’d been told by ‘somebody who ought to know’ there’d be changes this summer.

Jon Anderson said he wasn’t surprised, given Brad McNamara and Steve Crawley had recently left executive roles at Channel 9.

‘You’re going to get somebody coming in who wants to put their stamp on things,’ Ando explained.

Ando said the success of the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting and Damien Fleming on Channel 10 with the Big Bash had put pressure on Channel 9 to get things right.

‘The problem Channel 9 has got is that they’ve been shown up by the Channel 10 Big Bash group,’ Ando said.

‘I’m surprised none of those blokes have been poached.’
