RUMOUR FILE: Channel Nine crew set upon hours after arriving in Rio

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A Channel Nine crew has been accosted by a transvestite who attempted to steal their camera an hour after they arrived in Rio for the Olympics. 

Reporter Christine Ahern said they were on Copacabana beach when they were set upon in an attempted mugging.

She said security reacted quickly, but not before one in the group was ‘clocked on the head’ with a handbag, believed to have a heavy object in it.

‘There was a group of transvestites and it all happened in a flash,’ she said.
