The Rumour File

All Christmas functions for one state emergency service were to have a four alcoholic drink limit and a midnight curfew, according to a caller to this morning’s Rumour File.

3AW Breakfast spoke with Wayne Gatt, secretary of the Victoria Police Association who said while this may have been suggested, it was quickly shouted down.

“From time to time you do get silly little instructions like that creep through the cracks, something that might have seemed like a good idea at the time,” Mr Gatt said.

“But generally we treat adults like adults.

“We just have to treat our members as the grown adults that they are.

“And enjoy Christmas like any other worker can, safe and responsibly.”
