RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Generators at the Victorian desalination plant are in the process of being removed.

3AW Breakfast was told the power supply issues have been resolved.

Aquasure CEO, Matt Brassington, told 3AW Breakfast the generators that were brought in as a backup, will be gone by Friday.

‘We brought a crane in yesterday afternoon and we’ll be lifting all through today, tomorrow and possibly into Friday.’

‘We managed to fix the problem we suffered just before Christmas…we’ve been slowly bringing the plant back to life’ he said.

The plant will begin pumping water into the Cardinia Reservoir next week.
