Who’s at fault here?

Dashcam footage submitted to Ross and John’s Rumour File shows the moment a Melbourne cyclist rode through an amber light, and was then collected by a jogger.

The incident happened on the corner of Punt Road and Commercial Road about 6pm Monday night.

No one was seriously hurt but the Rumour File contributor says the cyclist unleashed a tirade upon the stunned jogger, and “vigorous debate about who was at fault ensued”.

That vigorous debate spilled into the radio studio this morning when former lawyers Ross Stevenson and John Burns debated the matter before a jury of 3AW callers.

VicRoads spokesperson Chris Miller later sat on the fence on the issue, suggesting neither the cyclist nor pedestrian did a stellar job of sharing the roads.
