RUMOUR FILE: Man harmed with a tomahawk sends country pub into lockdown

Ross and Russel

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Witnesses have come forward describing how a man armed with a tomahawk threw a country pub into lockdown for more than three hours.

As revealed on the 3AW Rumour File, a man assaulted an elderly patron at the Woods Point Hotel on Saturday night.

The elderly man was taken to hospital before the offender later returned armed with tomahawk smashing three exterior windows.

Witness, Brian was among those inside the pub as it was placed into lockdown but says patrons weren’t too concerned.

‘Going by everyone else in the pub and people that are locals and know the chap, there was more than enough people to do what was needed if he tried to get inside,’ he tells Ross and John.
