Rumour File: Netball ring ‘slam dunked’

An under-21s netball match came to a premature end last night when the goal ring snapped off in Melbourne’s west last night.

The ring was bent at an angle for some time and eventually gave in when a goal was shot, narrowly missing a player.

The trailing team was none too pleased at losing, having recently clawed back the margin with six minutes remaining.
