Rumour File: Passenger finds stash of cash in Qantas seat pocket

RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A Qantas passenger has found much more than a safety card in their seat pocket on the way to Los Angeles.

Shortly after boarding QF94 on Tuesday last week, the passenger discovered a wad of US notes.

It totaled nearly $US2000, or about $2700 in Australian dollars.

The passenger, clearly honest to a fault, handed the cash in to flight staff.

Qantas will give the owner three months to come forward.

If no one claims the money, it will be donated to UNICEF.
