RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A Specialist School was broken into over the weekend with over a dozen bikes stolen.

PEDALLED AWAY told 3AW Breakfast that a school for children with special needs was broken into three times over the weekend, with more than 15 bikes and helmets stolen.

Juliet Cooper, principal of Port Phillip Specialist School spoke with Ross and John.

‘These are bikes that our students use to gain independent living skills,’ she tells 3AW Breakfast.

‘They’ve come and gone several times, they’ve cut fences, they’ve vandalised the building, and left the doors open.’

The alleged offenders are believed to be between 11 and 13-years-old.
