RUMOUR FILE: Retired Yarram woman becomes snake catcher

A Yarram resident who found two copperhead snakes on her property has taken matters into her own hands after discovering there is no licensed snake catcher in her area.

As revealed on the 3AW Rumour File, Marie Cropley not only caught and released the two snakes on her property, she’s now gone and got her own snake catcher’s licence.

She’s now set to go into business for herself.

‘I’ll get some business cards made up, but it’s a not for profit thing… I’m not going to profit out of it.’

‘I may have to charge people some money for my transport and those sort of costs.’ – she told 3AW Breakfast.
